πABRA Staking (veABRA)

ABRA can be locked to receive veABRA tokens, which function as governance tokens for the Cadabra platform. These veABRA tokens represent voting power, utilized for governance decisions.
The goal of ABRA staking is to align economic and governance power with those who bring the most value to Cadabra and are committed to its long-term success.
veABRA holders are entitled to vote on all future platform changes and on periodic liquidity allocation (Liquidity Allocation Vote, LAV). In other words, veABRA holders will have control over the platform-owned liquidity and its allocation.

veABRA is initially deployed on BSC network. Other networks will be added in the next releases.
Additionally, veABRA holders receive rewards in the ABRA tokens. There are few types of ABRA rewards for stakers:
: Performance fees and ABRA rewards accrued by protocol-owned liquidity are distributed among veABRA holders, proportionally to their voting power.
: when you lock ABRA you immediately receive rebate tokens that can be used in any way you want. These tokens come from the special pool and have limited supply. Amount of tokens received depends on the staking duration and referral status. The mechanics of personal staking bonus is described here.
: With locked ABRA you can earn rewards for referring others to lock as well based on your lock amount.
To receive voting power in the form of veABRA, you stake ABRA for a duration of your choice. You cannot withdraw the staked ABRA amount until the lock-up period is over, and veABRA cannot be transferred.
Your voting power is calculated as a simple ratio of the veABRA tokens you own to the total number of veABRA tokens in circulation.
The amount of veABRA you receive is based on two factors: the amount of ABRA you stake and the end date (expiration) of the lock-up. A multiplier is applied to the ABRA amount to calculate the resulting veABRA amount, and this multiplier increases according to the length of the lock-up. In other words, the further into the future the end date is, the higher the multiplier. If two users stake the same amount of ABRA on different occasions but their lock-up periods end on the same date, they will still receive the same amount of veABRA. The user who stakes earlier will accrue more rewards and be able to exercise their power earlier, but both users will have the same power once they have staked the same amount with the same expiration.
The staking multiplier curve is exponential. The longer your lock-period, the more veABRA you receive. The multiplier grows by 1.2x with each additional year forward. As a result, a 4-year stake will be approximately 2 times larger than a 30-day stake. (1.2 * 1.2 * 1.2 * 1.2 β 2). The maximum staking duration is 4 years. The minimum is 30 days
Over time, the effective power of old stakes is diluted by newer stakes having larger multipliers. When the lock-up period ends, you keep your economic and voting power until you choose to unstake. The way to maximize your power is to stake for the full 4-year period and regularly extend the lock-up period. You can also compound your power by claiming accrued rewards and staking them to increase your veABRA balance.
